I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who donated to our 2022 re-election campaign prior to the legislative fundraising freeze today. We surpassed our goal and raised over $50,000 in a little over a month of fundraising. Onward! #representationmatters ... See MoreSee Less
You owe the police an apology...
How is House Bill 1054 working? You should be held liable for this garbage.

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.YOUR words mean nothing to me. Crime rates and data do! From what I see in our community that you are helping to destroy, has more crime and bolder criminals. Your leadership has endangered me and my family.
Is it only certain police, or all police in the state of Washington? Either way if you are saying they are making dangerously false claims why not hold workshops with them and answer their questions and concerns. I know my house that burned down in December has been robbed 8 times, we have ran off homeless folks trying to camp in it, and now people are dumping trash. I was told under the new laws there is nothing that can be done. Matter of fact the Federal Way Police and Mayor contacted me over my concern and relayed a story how last night that they responded to a call where it was found that a person wanted for manslaughter was at the scene. Since he would not come out of the house and there was no immediate danger there was nothing they could do and left the scene. Manslaughter means that person killed someone.... You are making all these claims about false claims by the police, the group supposedly hired to enforce laws. You wrote the law, explain it to them so I don't have to take matters into my own hands. This is the direction we are going with this childish finger pointing.
OK, so how do you stand on the attempted rollbacks by police unions?
The legislative session fundraising freeze is now over! Our team can officially accept donations again as 2022 will be here before we know it. Giving is not just about making a donation but making a difference because we can have infinite impact with the policies that we pass. Thank you for your support! #representationmatters ... Hopefully next year we can get someone in office that will actually work FOR THE PEOPLE!
You do not represent progress.
No thanks
HELL NO!
You suck ass.....I work in mental health ad our beds are almost empty.....Yes almost empty!!! There are mentally ill suffering out on the streets everywhere and there are mental health crisis centers and Evaluation & Treatment centers with empty beds, but the police refuse to transport those in need to the places who serve them!!! They say the new HB 1310 limits what the police can do and it puts too much liability on them so they are refusing to respond to the crisis calls.....Then you go on the Ari Hoffman show with your smug face and cocky attitude and you have the audacity to say it's the state's fault because they need to hire more DCR's.....Screw you!!!....Get your butt back to Olympia and rewrite this HB before more people die from it!!!! You take no responsibility in the whole thing and it makes me sick!!!
Not a chance.
This Veterans Day, Iβm reflecting on the service and sacrifices made by my mother, Lu and the many more like her, who have served in our Nationβs armed forces. My family and I know first hand the challenges those who wear the uniform and their families face each and every day. As State Representative, I remain committed to ensuring our state provides support and services to those who have so well served us- our veterans and their families.

My sincerest thanks to you, the voters of the 30th Legislative District for electing me as your State Representative. Thank you for entrusting me with your support and your vote. Weβve shattered the records for participation in this election with over 73% of eligible voters voting. I want to thank my incredible campaign staff, interns, donors, and countless volunteers who made this campaign the giant force it was this election- despite the enormous challenges stemmed from the Covid-19 pandemic. I am especially proud my campaign did it without accepting a dime in corporate contributions.
I want to thank my opponent, Jack Walsh for the gracious concession call this evening. Whether you voted for me or not, I want to thank you for being an active participant in our representative democracy. While there are ballots left to count, the results are absolutely clear- our community believes that representation matters and wants its leaders to be focused on real solutions and not just empty rhetoric.
This campaign has always been about building up our community- not tearing it apart, just to win an election. A belief in the notion that our system works best when all of us can see ourselves in the decision making- and the difficult but necessary work of centering voices of everyone in our community. Especially those of marginalized or often overlooked populations, including our young people, seniors, working families, people of color, and small business owners. I have been and continue to be commited to fight for opportunity, so that all of us in our community can not only survive but thrive.
Iβm proud of the work Iβve done during my first session in Olympia. Iβm proud of the work we accomplished during this campaign. Iβm proud of what we've accomplished as a community during the current pandemic and more committed than ever to meeting the challenges and opportunities we have before us.
Sincerely,
Jesse
